Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The International Journal of Religion, Business and Society (IJRBS) welcomes original, high-quality submissions that align with the journal’s interdisciplinary focus on the intersections of religion, commerce, ethics, and social development. Authors are encouraged to review the journal’s Aim and Scope before submitting.

  1. Submission Requirements
  • Language: All submissions must be in clear, grammatically correct English.
  • Length:
    • Research and review articles: 5,000–8,000 words (including references)
    • Case studies or policy papers: 3,000–6,000 words
    • Book reviews or short discussions: 1,000–2,000 words
  • File Format: Submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
  1. Manuscript Structure

Please ensure your manuscript includes the following:

  • Title (concise and descriptive)
  • Author(s) Details: Full names, institutional affiliation, email addresses
  • Abstract (150–250 words)
  • Keywords (4–6 keywords)
  • Main Text with clear headings and subheadings
  • References (see citation style below)
  • Acknowledgments, if applicable
  • Author Contributions (optional but encouraged)
  • Conflict of Interest Statement
  1. Referencing Style

The journal follows the Chicago Manual of Style (17th edition), Notes and Bibliography system, which is commonly used in the humanities, religious studies, and history.

Authors are required to use footnotes or endnotes for in-text citations, along with a complete bibliography at the end of the manuscript.

  1. Submission and Review Process
  • All research and review papers undergo double-blind peer review by at least two independent experts.
  • Editorials, book reviews, and discussions may be reviewed internally.
  • Authors must anonymize their manuscripts before submission (remove names, affiliations, etc.).
  • Submit your manuscript via [Insert Submission Portal or Email Address].

IJRBS adheres to strict ethical publishing standards:

  • All work must be original, properly cited, and free from plagiarism.
  • Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest.
  • Duplicate submissions are not accepted.
